Our former CV Jasmin (aka kuschelirmel) was chosen as member of the month over at The-ImaginariumSet of amazing photo manipulations and short interview by this fantastic artist you can find here:

Member of the Month - Interview with kuschelirmel:iconthe-imaginarium:
Every month we select one member to be exposed on the homepage of the group and we will do a special feature and a short interview.
Set of amazing photo manipulations and short interview by talented artist kuschelirmel from Germany.
:iconkuschelirmel:
1. First of all we would like to thank you for taking the time to provide The-Imaginarium with this interview.
Please tell us more about your Art and what made you become an Digital Artist ?
I was always doing something creative in one way or another, be it painting silk scarfs (that was all the rage in the 90s - don't judge me Wink/Razz), folding origami or writing my own stories (that seldom had an ending, but hey, still fun).

I was active in a German writer's forum around 2001/2 which was also when I moved out to go to university. That in turn meant a lot of time for experiments and I was trying to learn to co

Talented Mr-Ripley was interviewed by MonochromaticART under the auspices of the group projecteducate What is more important: talent or hard work? The answer to this and other questions read here:

Interview with Mr RipleyCommunity Week
Have you ever wondered what makes digital art so special? How it’s created? Have you ever thought: “Man, I wish I could be able to create something like this!”? Well, of course, that’s why you’re on Deviantart, right?
Good news: we’re here to help you! In this interview we’re going to present you with the beautiful works of a talented digital artist, Mr. Ripley, who shares with us his thoughts on Deviantart and a few tips for beginners.

I put "1% talent, 99% hard work" in my tag line. That's a clear answer. You can't have any talent or skill without practicing or working hard for it before.
1. At what age did you start creating digital art and what inspired you to do so?
:iconMr-Ripley:
I got my first computer when I was almost 30, and that was the time I quit doing traditional art and turned to digital art. Computers are great entertainers and provide a lot

⭐️Monthly  spotlight!

Anne Wipf (annewipf), amazing artist from France, is in the spotlight this month! Her weekly features and features for contests winners became an invaluable support for the artists-photomanipulators. But her own works no less beautiful and inspiring than manips that she promotes:) Judge for yourself:

Reborn from Ashes by annewipf

In addition, Anne is a great photographer, and her stock images (you can find them on this account HermitCrabStock) are beautiful, qualitative and useful:

DD Suggestion GuidelinesHi everyone!
Below you can find some handy guidelines regarding suggesting DDs in the Photomanipulation category. Wondering what actually is a Daily Deviation? To wonder no longer, follow this link: :faq61:!
I'm looking forward to getting your suggestions - everyone can receive a DD, so let's work together to find the absolute best our art community can offer! ;)
Basic Requirements
The artwork has to be a Photomanipulation (Digital Art -> Photomanipulation)or belong to the Digital Mixed Media (Digital Art -> Mixed Media) category. A photomanipulation is a work created by combining at least 2 photographic images to make someting new.
The artwork has to have valid stock credits and use only legitimate stock. If you used your own photos, please state it in your description. Confused about the term "legitimate stock"? Check out this journal:

The compelling works below, by :iconannewipf: are examples of the lengths to which the artist must go to achieve a level of excellence and quality. See more of her work here: http://annewipf.deviantart.com/gallery/?catpath=/

Solar Gods Picks Of The Week!GROUP NEWS
Hello Members!
I'm a little late with the Picks Of The Week for our "Solar Gods" challenge, but I want to explain something before I post them.
We, at ManipulateThis, have challenges where members are expected to participate and follow the challenge requirements.  We do this for Four Big Reasons:
:star: So That Everyone Is Doing The Same Basic Thing;
:star: To See How Different And Creative Each Member Can Be Doing The Same Thing;
:star: To Make It Easier For The Judges To Judge (Because They Are Comparing And Contrasting ONLY The Ones
      Following The Challenge Requirements).
:star: Entries Will Not Win Simply Because They Are Outlandishly Different.
There were two entries that, as traditional photomanipulations, were fantastic images, but unfortunately, the members did not follow the challenge requirements, therefore, I'm sorry, but they could not be a pick.
So, everyone, please remember, ask if you do not understand the req

"Those Crazy 20's"
by :iconamaranta-g:
This is a winner as not only does the model, baggage and train weave the atmosphere of the 20's but so do the circus/carnivale like elements found in the scene. One gets the feeling that era really was kind of wild and crazy. Blending is nicely done and the color palette has been suitably altered to make all the pieces "fit" together. Well done work!
